so i got good ol' rubbing alcohol and just removed the whole thing.
shiny, eh?
i dunno if i like it tho, perhaps one day if i have time, imma just paint it berlina blk.

hmm... just YANK IT OFF! hehe.
well, actually, you just have to carefully pry it open,
from back where the padding is, to the front.
first timers it's actually pretty scary and frustrating,
and your fingers hurt a lot.

oh! oh! don't forget to remove the gear knob first!
also, once the console is off, don't forget to disconnect
the two wires (one for roof, the other for hazard...) before
completly remove it.

Just a reminder.... there were changes in material from 2002 + I believe. Removing that finish may result in a black finish instead of the platinum color seung had posted....
Seung.....what year is your car?? Have you tried doing that to your dash trim too?

It's kind of odd you posted this today. I was cleaning my interior on Saturday and noticed mine was beginning to rub off too. Getting pissed at the fact it was "wearing" off, I took a sponge and began to rub it off too. But I didn't get it all off. Now that I know alcohol works, I'll do that today. Thanx Seung
