Default Challenge - GT Wing prototype and some test photos

Challenge Engineering has been working hard on a low drag 3D wing design this summer while consulting with engineers from boeing, and other race teams and aero producing facilities. We were finally able to get it on our S2000 Time Attack Car at California Speedway for the Redline Time Attack! season championship. This track happens to feature some good low and mid speed sections followed by a high speed run down the straight and in the banking at around 140MPH, up to near 190 in high HP unlimited cars. The wing worked well keeping the car stable on track and even at high speed. Constructed using carbon fiber with vacuum infusion, we are able to keep the parts weight very low, while offering a GREAT finish. Others use all wet lay up resulting in a heavy wing, and usually a thick milky clear coat. Wing legs will be done in 7075 aluminum or a carbon composite possibly depending on test results. We expect to begin production of this wing after some more tests and hopefully release it for sale by early spring 2010. We are aiming to sell it for about $1000-1200 range depending on our final mounting/leg solution. The wing shown is a prototype at this time, and some changes may be made here and there

$1000-$1200 isn't really that much cheaper than voltex lol.

Looks great tho. Good to have a domestic solution that won't take 6+ months to get in
