I'm sure a few of you have seen the OEM restyled carbon roof we have made for the s2000 by now for our time attack program, as well as units for sale to customers. Since we are adding some chassis reinforcements to the S2000 over this winter, we are taking off weight where we can elsewhere. Our 2011 spec car will have the GT wing mounts passing through the trunk and mounting into the frame rails in the trunk. Since we are going this route, we are able to just use 4 quick release pins to hold the trunk on and could forgo the internal skeleton for mounting. Depsite the lack of a frame, this trunk is VERY rigid and light yet with its 12k carbon, honeycomb matrix core, and additional layers of carbon and carbon kevlar. The weight on this particular one is 5.8 lbs

We also have a full bolt on model as well with full interal skeleton for those that need a full functioning trunk. It will have no problem supporting any GT wings of course

The trunk runs $1795 MSRP for it in Dry laid 1x1 or 2x2 carbon with the honeycomb core and kevlar etc with full skeleton.

 

Sexy trunk also must not be cheap either
