Alright, here is what Brandon told me about the car...I think :

Brandon, the guy that I work with, was approached by a mutual friend of the guys at Boyd's shop about building this car. Brandon had already modeled and made the body and made a plaster plug out of the molds for them to make a steel body for the car. Then, he and the guys at boyd's built the chassis, steering, seats, axles with the plan being to construct a steel body over the plug that he pulled out of his molds. Well, at the end of the day, the steel body never got done and they used the original fiberglass body that Brandon had built. On HotRod Garage, they showed one of their guys driving the car on TV, but in the downhill race, he was too heavy, so Brandon was the actual driver. He owns the car and some of the other gravity racers are going to be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson this year. It will be interesting to see how much they go for.
