the jewish thing is over. i cannot go up and erase it so get over it people apolgized.

lemme ask you one thing tho.

when dave chappelle gets on tv and pokes fun of his own race does every black guy in the world try and sew him. no, they understand its parody and laugh and get on with their life.

im getting on w/ mine i apoligzed now get over it

thanx.. and wyatt the tires are same thickness to ground just pulled sidewalls within reccomended limits from the manufacturer. so i dont see anything wrong and i can still pull a corner at full speed and get traction.. she drives really well in fact.

Okay, you're right. I'm moving on from the Jewish part.

As for the tires, I understand that a 255 tire is the same on a 10.5'' wheel and an 8'' wheel, but I just don't see why one wouldn't run the widest possible, like a 285 on that wide of a wheel... I mean, I know why you can't so it's all good.

I've never driven a car with such stretched tires, so I can't say. But if she still drives the same, rock on.

drives same on 8 as 10.5

the reason im doing such. is im still test fitting offsets and etc.

right now i need to sell these in 4-5 weeks when next more agressive set comes. easier for me to market wheels that common person would want

my plan in the end as i said somewhere else.. is to run 12's in rear 10's in front.

255F 305R

in order to get to there im checking the furthest out... and different tire stretches. i did 255 on 9.5 the same 255 on 10 and same 255 on 10.5 soon. i measured each and took a profile of them w/ measurements seeing where the extra space is gained and where its lost.. that alongw/ the tread width vs tire width in conjunction w/ rim width gives me #'s i really need. given the fact noone has done all this before it takes time and money. i cant just grab someone elses #'s i gotta spend 3k on wheels and 1k on tires per month and jot down and save all the info and then i order the next set w/ sizes i want.

i tried

8+54F
8+56F
7.5+43F
8+62F
9+58
will be trying
9.5?

9.5+62R
10+30R
10+43R
10+56R
10.5+39R
will be trying
11?
11.5?
12?

the list goes on. the math im at now tells me the ideal tire for 11 will be 265... so 11.5 275/285 12 285/295 12.5 305

the fender space is there the suspension travel is minimum the sway bars and etc are good to go. and i have measured the compression w/ load in corners etc.

anywho i think ive given enough secrets out. offsets are offsets so i figure i might as well start changing the rims to give some different style (after 3 sets of meister)

the wheels ill be coming back to will be the meister s13p

andprolly have BBK front and rear w/ 4' lip still on rear w/ 4pot and 6 pot front w/ 3" at least

riley

Ok, stand back - you post on a public forum, you're gonna get both positive and negative comments here - you know who your friends are, so take the rest with a grain of salt.

1) You're obviously into experimenting - so props for that, nothing wrong with trying new things.

2) What's the point of running these crazy sized rims, and then trying to streeeeeetch these tire sizes that everyone and their dog runs on much smaller wheels? Isn't that the point of getting super-wide wheels? So you can run fatter tires? On this car, you can't do that, or you'll rub crazy without bashing a little metal or going widebody- isn't that telling us something? You're going to run 255's on the back? Horray, people have been doing that for years on perfect fitting 9" Volks.

3) What kind of performance do these combos offer? How much to these rims weigh? How are these wacky offsets affecting your scrub radius and wheel bearing durability? What about general drivabilty when your sidewalls are stretched to the limit and you need to run 3 degrees of camber to make these badboys fit?

Anyways, like I said. You don't know me, I don't know you, so take what I say with a grain of salt

cheers

tires are made to fit different sized rims 255 fits 8-10 (sometimes 10.5 depending on manufacturer.)

the driveability of the tires is the same as on 9" volk. the extra stretch is used to add lip w/o rubbing. my goal was lip and tire. whereas before to get lip (i.e. gp spors sp1 fitment has 225 all around 9.5 R)

the point for you, with added horsepower might be more tire but from experience 255 is the right amount of tire for me. anything more wouldnt do anything more w/ the stock 237crank/190wheels horsepower. the only thing added rubber would do is A: increase my G ability in cornering(which i feel is fine) and increase drag coefficient while driving, causing less gas mileage. FOR NOW.

if you read the novel above ud see in future my ending setup to which ive used all this math for is to run a 255F and 305R, increasing both front and rear will give me a similar bias as now but it STILL wont be used for track. just spirited daily driving.

i know since you have a STI that its all about horsepower to you. but for others it isnt. ont he setup i had w/ blue meisters the tires never felt different than if they were on smaller wheels and i felt the ratio was perfect as the car was pretty much neutral except at high speeds she had slight oversteer.

hopefully someone who posts next will read one of my novels ive wrote and say oh b4 typing.

all good tho i know theirs good and bad opinions..

Can you people just give up on the fact that not everything in this world revolves around performance? I know many of you track your cars, and more power to you, I wish I could do the same. However, there are those of us that just like cruising in our cars, with the occasional spirited driving. For such a person there is really nothing wrong with this setup. I lowered my car over 2 inches, did that help my handling? No, in fact it hurt the handling, but it's very important to me for the look I'm going for. The same goes for Riley here... He wants a deep dish wheel, which he can easily attain with a streched tire. Drifters have been doing this for years, and I never saw people giving them shit.

Once again man, keep it up, and ignore the haters... If I had the money to be buying wheels like this I'd be right there with you
