Comptech header installed!
its call header wrap...you should really think about using it. i have it on mine and see see a hole lot of difference. it pushed all the heat where you stopped wrapping so youll get a cooler engine and more power. pretty pricey stuff especially on how these headers are designed, but its worth it...
My hood is vented. I'm thinking about puting the upper heat shield on. Drove it around for a good 20 minutes and noticed that my the skeleton of my CF hood was pretty hot. Nothing on the melting or worried side, but first thing that came to my mind was the CF hood warping. Oh well, I'm sure if this was problem, it would have been noticed by the many carbon fiber hood owners out there already. Thanks for the comments guys.
G2K, that kinda eliminates the whole reason why I polished it in the first place. But your right, header wrap is not cheap stuff.
BTW, did anyone of you supercharged guys noticed more torque and better throttle response?
Made me smile....

If you want to keep the engine bay temperatures down, but don't want to deal with using header wrap, then try looking into having your header thermally coated...I remember reading a post a while back where some guy had his Comptech header Jet-Hot coated...it kept temps down, and looked pretty blingy too (he appeared to have the "sterling" Jet-Hot finish)...good luck!

head wraps can actually crack headers over time
I would not wrap the header. unless it was the heavey duty stock one. Aftermarket headers usually use lighter weight material and its not as thick as the stock header if you wrap it it will most likely crack at some point.
If you are worried about the heat to the battery and coolant lines etc... put the factory heat sheil (black one not mounted to the header) and get some thermal tape to help block the heat
