yea thats my question... wouldent the front be the best place for it?.. but then it would take a pretty long time to get to the engine =P where else would they put the intercooler tho?

If the intercooler was up front, the charge pipes would be like 10 feet total. The car would run like crap and the lag would be just disgustingly slow. Intercooler on mid-engine cars are usually on top or below the motor. In some cases, there are side vents and there are two intercoolers located behind the rear wheels in the wheel wells. Such is the case in the NSX in Maximum Boost. (I think it's an NSX?)

it's not an intercooler. it's just a really big oil cooler.
