My friend's dad just got the supercharged model of the Ariel Atom...it feels like you're going 100+mph when you're only going about 55-60mph...such a rush!

Just wondering ... anybody know if the Ariel Atom can be registered/insured and driven street legally in California?

 

It was cool to watch the Atom do a lap but other than that the video and comparison was pointless. They just wanted to make fun of Americans.

Don't know if it's been done legally, but there are Atom's in the United States. I've typically seen pictures of them at different track events around the country.

 

he has a little too much personality for me now, id rather him be reading off more specs and info than trying really hard to make a joke.

edit: Atoms can be registered and insured, a spoke with an owner and he said his policy required a helmet used when driving for driver and passenger, just like a motorcycle is how his insurance co (didnt ask which company) must look at the atom
