Corvettes, especially C5 and C6s, are just fine in the curves if you know how to drive the car.

HAHAHA you sir are a dip shit if you think there still on leaf springs.
Might want to go look into that before you go calling other people dipshits.

Granted, it's not a traditional leaf spring like you'd see on a pickup truck, but it technically is a leaf spring.
That said, the C6 vette seems to be a very capable car. I don't have any personal experience behind the wheel of one (as is probably true for many of the people posting in this thread), but I'm not going to knock the C6, it's fantastic bang for the buck and probably the only American car I'd ever seriously consider buying.
It's sad how narrow minded and ignorant some of the people on this board are.
Corvettes do handle. No doubt about that.
However...S2000s def. handle better than regular C5 vettes. I don't know much about C6es. The actual HANDLING dynamic is probably pretty close if you're comparing a S2000 to a C5 Z06.
S2000s also stop faster 60-0 than Vettes.
S2000s just lack power. I really don't think that a Vette would fare well against a S2000 with similar power to weight numbers on pretty much any given track.
I usually catch up with Vettes in braking/turning zones only be be blown away on straights. Maybe old men don't really drive their cars as hard as they should...but still. I have been able to pass my friend's C5 Z06 at a track multiple times. Obviously, he was faster than me on straightaways but a lot...but once we entered a technical part of the track, he usually waved me on.
But yes, Vettes definately handle very very very well. They're a world class sports car, no doubt and in stock form, they are WAYYYY out of the S2000's league.
