Is this confirmed news about the production?? I remember seeing pics of this car YEARS ago... I believe it was called the Mercedes SLA and at that time it was just a concept that wasn't really supposed to be released...

I personally really like the way this car looks. I love the long hood, short trunk design (like the S), and really like the open wheel-ish design. Combined with the Mercedes sign in a an elevated "tunnel"( i guess) like the SLR, it is reminiscent of an F1 car.

I just wonder about the windshield, or lack thereof... and wonder if its even a convertible or just the open cabin that you see... Although I can't see how it would be a convertible... Maybe it comes with a removable hardtop...

 

Ah hell, there was a concept car from about 10 to 12 years ago that looked a LOT like that. Now I can't remember what it's called. Damn.
