Thumbs down Crank That

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIxZspm9xDA

Heavy snow fell this day and I took the opportunity to go out drifting with the S2000. On my way to find an empty parking lot, I drifted where there were no other cars around.
Located an empty parking lot and did some gymkhana type of drifting, by drifting around poles and controlling the car through linking and switching
slaloms.

Why Drift?

I believe drifting is the quickest way to learn vehicle dynamics and building driver's reflexes. It allows you to learn the limits of your car.... Explore it safely everyone.

When the back end of your car comes out unexpectedly, it is not as important what drivers know through the text books, but what they do instinctively. People can say all they want about not caring for drifting, but when sh!t happens, those that cared enough to explore these limits will be better prepared to safely control their cars than those that had no experience with a slide.

When I first had my rear end swap on me, it scared the crap out of me. My heart pumped and I promised myself that I would not let that feeling happen to me again. I hate feeling out of control. I knew that the car came around on me because I caused it to happen. From that day on, I really studied and took the steps to learn more about controlling a slide. Funny how now it's been over 6 years since that promise and drifting scene has grown so big. I drift now out of fun from what I've learned, not because of some Initial D wannabe thing that people tend to stereotype drifters with. I hate stereotypers! anyways...no bashing the anime, it's a great anime with valid points made in the dialogs.

Promoting drift skills to drivers will allow drivers to build on the instinctive reactions that can save you from a dangerous situation should one present itself, providing the best possible chance of surviving or avoiding a crash when losing control of the car. (less)

So you went out in the cold, and changed your rims, then went driftin'?

That's crazy. I'd have stayed inside and drank hot coffee

J/k You have a lot of balls to drift around lamps & medians like that. May I suggest an autocross in the future? It's a lot softer on a car if you hit cones

Good observation! That picture with the 18's is not from that day. Just for reference to the snow. I had already swapped my wheels before the snow came.

Stay inside? no way...."carpe diem"

autocross is fun too, but harsher on tires when drifting on the autocross courses. I'm more for gymkhana than timed autocrossing.

I saw it as a smile on it's face, but when you put it that way it's pretty funny.
