ct-engineering catback video

I bought this exhaust to replace the loud tanabe cat-back that was on the car when I bought it. When I received the package in the mail I was happy to find that all items were wrapped up carefully in bubble wrap and thoughtfully placed cardboard cushioning. Thanks to Evasive and CT-Engineering!
When I was making my decision, I wanted something quiet. A stock ap1 s2k is loud enough with all of its engine noises, rattles, clutch buzz, wind noise and lack of sound deadening material. =) Why would I want it any louder?
Doing my research, I found that the s2k community voted that Mugen, Js 60rs, T1R Sparrow, GoTuning's Spectrum Elite and CT-Engineering's were the the quietest. All but the 60rs were duals. I REALLY wanted the 60rs because of sound and weight savings but none were in stock and I heard after awhile it developed a rattle. So I scratched that one out. Mugen would have cost an arm and a leg, and AP1 mugens looked awkward to me so that was eliminated. The spectrum elite was sexy with the blue tips but alas, it was out of stock and I couldn't wait two months. It was pretty much down to T1R and ct-engineering. What made my decision? I have a comptech intake, header, and supercharger so I went with the flow. No pun intended.
The exhaust was very shiny and after making certain I had all the needed hardware, I was eager to put it on. Taking off the old exhaust and putting on the new one was super easy, all in all it took me about an hour and a half by myself.
When I started it, I was taken back at how different it sounded compared to my old Tanabe. It has a very smooth sound, very different than Tanabes in your face loudness. Although quieter it is by no means shy. The note is deeper but just as aggressive. It almost makes the car feel more like an upper class sports car.
At idle the car is quiet, I would even say stock quiet. Driving around town and listening to the exhaust with the top down is music to my ears, especially in tunnels. When you step down on the gas, the note increases as your rpms go up but never does the exhaust get raspy. For daily drivers, this exhaust is the one for you.
enjoy!
