thanks everyone for the great feedback.

i did not do a DYI for this set-up, but may do so on the nest set i do.

the next set i do will have the same brake/lite set-up, but will also include in the turning/back-up area a set of hybrid clusters with a ring of white LED's as back-ups, and a center cluster of red LED's for turning. by doing this will help with the flow of the updated look in both areas rather than just doing the brakes, and leaving the turns.

basically, these just consist of LED clusters, and i purchased a 4x8" sheet of red acrylic from my plastic supplier. traced the stock lens (i now have a template), cut it out, mount the LED's, mount the new clear red lenses, soldered pins at the ends of the LED cluster wires, and inserted them into the stock plugs.

when i do my next set (if they be my own or someone else's), ill supply a "how to".

thanks again for the great feedback!

and you didn't use any resistors? i did a custom LED turn signals on my accord and figuring that part out was that hardest of the project. then i attempted the brake lights and relays came into the picture. i stopped lol. thats something i'll be looking foward to do when i purchase an ap1. thanks for the insight

yes, resisters were used in the LED clusters.

this is a very simple mod to do. looking at only one day to complete both sides.

as soon as i start on another set, i will take pictures during the whole process and document everything.

This might save allot of work, they come in a housing and are potted. And have brake and turn built into the wiring.

i thought we were just swapping out regular bulbs for led bulbs and calling it good, not putting in a whole new bulb assembly, that's too much work, the lights look good enough for me...
