There are no words for this. It's good that you like it, but if I walked out to my car one morning and saw that someone had done that to it, I'd just set it on fire and claim it on insurance.

Luder94:

DOHC, enjoy your car as well....don't tell me what I do and don't realize. I know what I do and don't like....I know what is involved when customizing your own car (READ: custom mods, NOT bolt-ons), I know what is involved when modifying your own car (READ: bolt-ons).....

I should have say: SOME people don't realize...

If it's your car that you'd set fire to, then hopefully you'd have enough sense that these modifications are reversible. Easy to strip it down, sell the parts (there is no doubt that there is value in them seeing that there are quite a few owners willing to install it on their S2000s).

Also if you're willing to fraud your insurance provider and risk going to jail, there are no words for you. Hopefully there you have no family member that'll wake up in the morning and set you on fire, and then claim it on life insurance.

My point here is: if you don't like what the owner has done, simply state that tastefully. No need to be rude....chances are your comments, attitudes, etc. leave you to be judged as well.

I didn't take your statement of setting your car on fire literally, but for the sake of argument, if you did set it on fire and then claimed a loss on the car to your insurance company, you'd be committing fraud. If you're willing to do that because of the way your car looks, there really are less words for you than there are for how bad you think Chris's car looks.

Does it make sense now? Did I really have to write all that out? Could you not make sense of what I was referring to? It's like you don't have too good a comprehensive command of the English language. <---Yu dunn get it too good, dooyah?

I didn't miss your beginning statement. In fact it's quoted right before my post. Everything after your quote are my words, so I didn't leave anything out.

I'm not acting sensitive on anything and my feelings aren't hurt. I can be just as crass as you are, I just choose not to. There's a tactful way to tell Chris and whoever else you don't like their car...you chose not to. It wasn't me that was under attack...my motivations to my post were to show you that your tact-less approach was immature (as was your last post).

BTW, after I go to another thread or sign off, I won't think another thought about you.

Here's my car, go ahead and comment away...see how much your opinions bother me and/or make me cry:

I'm a superstar regardless of what you think. <---That's my quote for the day.

Wow this is the first post Ive read that makes me look down on this forum. All of you really need to grow up (and thats coming from a 19 year old) Several people stated that its not their taste. Who cares if its your taste or not. Why do 25 people have to tell this guy thats its not their taste. Everytime some post their car on this site they have to hear that its not someone elses taste. Theres no need for that. There are plenty of different styles to Modify a car (dont want to say customize caues I might get chewed out, Like it makes a difference)

Some of you really need to think about what your saying, most likely if a guy likes what hes already done so why would he need to be told to get rid of stuff. He wouldnt have put the wing on if he didnt like it. So why tell him to get rid of it. Tell him stuff to add or what else would compliment the rest of the work hes done.

You know, being nice goes a long way....you're right, life isn't necessarily nice. However, this board isn't life...no need to be rude here.

I've been with this board since the beginning and it has drastically been on the downslide.

Let go of life's downfalls here...we're all here to talk about, and live the S2000 experience. That's supposed to be a good thing. Chris did what he did to his car to be a good thing for him.

Tell him you don't like what he did, but stop trying to be crabs in a barrel. Stop trying to bring him down, stop trying to bring his joy for what he's done down to your misery. If you were happy with you and yours, you wouldn't care too much what he's done with his.

I've stated my opinion on what I thought about his aesthetic, it's the damn invalid arguments and the presentation of opinions that got me here...ended up jacking the thread too.

Cliff notes: Life isn't nice; this board isn't life...it's a community of individuals who share a common interest.
