I recently explored the option of trading up for a newer S2000. I was originally contemplating getting a used '05, but after looking around the showroom floor, I was taken in by the CR. The CR was not my initial choice, but after talking over the numbers with the salesman, it seems the deal would be too good to pass up.
After some negotiating regarding the trade in, the dealership is offering to pay off my current loan for my S2000, and put me in the seat of a brand new CR for $34,000. Now, thats about the same price as where the base model S2000's start at. I qualified for a real good interest rate as well. So my payments would be about the same if not less than what I'm paying now.
The CR would get it's full usage. I would track it in the summer. And unfortunately, it would be my daily driver.
So what would you guys do if you were in my shoes? Sell out, or keep modding?
And just so this is Gallery related, heres a pic of what I would be trading for a CR:

I'd keep the car you already have just because you already have done things to it. As far as I know, any improvements that the CR may offer are able to be duplicated or bested with aftermarket mods (not including the engine change).
The fact that the CR would be new and under warranty is nice but is it really worth starting the modifications all over again?
Nice car btw

You say they will pay off your previous loan but don't say whether you are upside down or have equity in it. That makes a huge difference in whether its a good deal or not. Plus 34 is way more than you could buy a base model at. CRs aren't exactly flying off the showroom floors either. In fact, the closest dealer to me has had 2 sitting there since they were introduced almost a year ago. He'd probably sell them for less than a base model just to get rid of them. Plus, does it have radio/ ac?
