I was the proud owner of a del Sol back about 7 years ago. It was involved in a pretty bad accident in Bowling Green, Kentucky in the summer of 2001 during a weekend-long Sol gathering.

I had some things modded on it to include 2 different paint jobs and a B16A swap. I miss it badly as it has been totalled.

that car looks clean, did you have the glass roof?

I sure did. It was the Ameripol clear targa top in plexi-glass. The company is actually quite local to where I live here in NY state.

It was an awesome mod to do to that car I tell ya and it was easy too.

I remember i wanted that to finish off the looks of my sol, but $640.00 was a lot back then at the age of 16-20. hahahaha. When i did find one, people want a huge chunk of change. I called ameripol a few times, i just never got the ball rolling. are they still around?

The sickest thing i wanted to find, was the mugen lip spoiler, kind of like our BYS, but that bitch was damn near impossible to find. now that i sold my sol, obviously they pop up replicas on ebay.

I wanted a DOHC Sol so badly. Only bad thing I hated about the car was the mirrors. They look like fat baby arms or something. But I wish the s2000 had a targa option.

I'm pretty sure Ameripol is still out in force. I will do a search to be certain but so far I've only found forum pages on them.

Found some more photos of my del Sol before the Championship White was painted on.

Bare in mind that these photos were taken back about 8-9 years ago and they are most likely low res.

Enjoy, I know I did.
