But I consider them minor changes to the overall scheme of things. For now, all the major stuff is done, so I consider the project "complete" even though I have little odds and ends to augment the whole thing.
Thanks for all the
The interior kept me from buying a suzuka blue. I told myself who gives a damn about the interior, the exterior color has a lot of character. But after spending a few minutes in one, I was a little over whelmed. The dash/carpet combo especially so. While it is going to look a little odd during bright sun light because its reflective properties are different from what most are used to, with the top up and when it's not in direct sunlight, I bet even the dash will look great.

It has to be cloudy and the top up for the blue dash to look ok (to me). It's not the reflective nature of the vinyl so much as it's color properties. Even on sunny days with the top up, the blue dash is radioactive. The darker it got outside and the more diffused the light, the more appealing the shade of the dash. that went for most of the blue in the car. The leather seemed to keep its softer, slightly lighter shade in the varying light conditions. But I drive this car on mostly sunny days with the top down. Therefore the blue dash and all the other blue plastic in the car became radioactive.
The back Alcantara dash is very difficult for me to photograph accurately. In person, it looks fantastic, but in pictures, it looks different. Same with the blue. The blue looked brighter and even more radioactive, akin to what it looks like under full, direct sunlight.
