Default Detail day... (56k warning)

Finally the weekend is here. Finally I can drive the car with the top down after an entire week of rain.

Believe it or not but I've been driving with the shipping tape on , but that's only cause I've been driving late at night for the week.

Anyway, it was time to take the damn tape off and finally give my car a long deserved wash and detail.

Arsenal (for those interested)
Meguiars NXT Tech Wash
Klasse All-In-One (AIO)
Meguiars NTX Tech Wax
S100
Sonus Quick Detailer
303 Protectant
1Z Glass Cleaner
Terry cloth wash mitt
LOTS of variety of Microfiber Towels (pakshak)

Ok, first things first, final pics with the tape on

Yuk, check out how dirty this car is right now...

One last shot....

Goodbye tape

Ok lets get started...

I was planning to claybar, but after the sandwich bag test I realized the paint is smooth like a babies butt good, this should save me time...

It was a little sunnier than I would like, but I could not wait till later or a more overcast day. I wanted to do it NOW

So we start with Meguiars NXT Wash and a terry cloth mitt, NXT was nice and sudsy(sp) it also had a good smell. Using the 2 bucket method I got the car clean pretty quickly. NTX did a good job of cleaning the car.

Time to dry with a waffle weave microfiber. this mf towel is super absorbant. It did a great job drying the car.

Next some paint cleaning with Klasse AIO. This is my first time using AIO and it's very similar to Zaino's application. You have to put a thin layer on. Unfortunately like Zaino it's hard to tell if it's going on at all. But I'm use to that now.

Once I was done with AIO it was time to try Meguiars NXT Wax. The stuff smelled just like the car wash, which is a good thing . This stuff went on a lot easier than the AIO and it came off pretty easy as well. Now the car is starting to shine.

Next up to add a little more shine, I topped it off with S100. Now if you never used this, S100 literally goes on like BUTTER, super smooth. It came off just as easily. Not the greatest smell but who cares

Wow, nice it's looking shiny. To finish it off I did a quick detailing with some Sonus Quick detailer.

Protected the top with some 303 protectant and cleaned all glass with the 1Z glass cleaner.

Some pics...

Check out that shine

Ugh, these rotors rust so quickly

I think it's time to put the top down.

More driving, less posting.

You'll never hit VTEC if you keep washing the car and posting pictures of it

Looks good bro.
