Hey Loki.. my parents just went Dig. camera shopping... they know nothing about anything tehcnological.. and im not to familiar with dig. cams... they ended up coming home with a canon A40... any good??? thanks for the info.. beautiful pic byt he way

kster, this car wasn't at the Presidio but joined the drive during the Marin part of the event...

Yup, I have a Canon S30 and I've been very happy with it... didn't feel the extra $100 for the higher res S40 was necessary since the lens is still small. I could use the extra money for a larger memcard. I'm sure the A40 is fine, depends on what your parents are wanting to use it for, it's a more point-and-shoot camera with less manual controls. http://dpreview.com is always a good source for camera information.
