I do not understand, if the man's car isnt in agreement with your taste simply post your oppositions you dont need to be rude about it and tear the car apart. I personally like it despite of the lack of function. I just wish others could grow up instead of being so immature on the inernet.

my point is that its not just a lack of function. if it was a really clean car that was just built for cruising, i could sort of respect that (even though it wouldnt make sense to take a small 2 seater and turn it into a low n slow cruising car, w/e if the OP is clueless thats his fault). the problem i have with the OPs car is that it isnt the clean cruiser that he seems to think it is, its a beat up daily driver with rims that dont fit. how is that in any way appealing?

Congratulations Ramon

You just made a bunch of grown men act like a bunch of children because your car is not set up how they want it.

I'll say it again, your car looks good, keep doing what your doing sir.

For those of you who do NOT care for it:

I am not saying that you have to keep your opinion to yourself, but you should probably learn how to properly express yourselves in a more meaningful way instead of coming off as obnoxious. Everyone has a different opinion or view yours is no better than the next guy's.

The right way to fit these wheels:

Downforce front fenders
Js rear over fenders
Right sized tires, anything over 255s at least.

And then there's this way......

I'm surprised it doesn't have the buckled quarter panels like it did before...
Or does it....? I just can't tell due to the shitty pictures

This is Correct. Also though, if you are really cool, your fender will sit in between your tire and the inner lip of your rim, its cool because it does hella damage. hella damage = hella flush. Its funny to do it to a car thats main purpose of performance in corners. Not only are do you damage the car, you make it useless.

What sucks is that when the trend is over, all of these people are going to have messed up fenders and there will be even less quality S2Ks on the road. maybe thats a good thing though, us non retards might hold value better.

Ohhh emmm gee! god forbid someone does something to a honda... A mass produced one at that. People need to get the sand out of their vaginas. Its a honda, not a limited edition 60s Ferrari. Anyone who mods their car at all (whether it be for track/flush/show) redisgns something that honda did. Meaning you are devaluing your car..... blah blah blah. Cars are meant to be enjoyed by the owner. If the owner wants his car to look good, then thats the main function. Not the track or anything of that sort. Why set up the car to track spec if you never have any intentions of tracking it?

But of course this is S2ki where people think their s2000's are gods gift to earth and are not meant to do anything but be tracked. Maybe in that case we should fully strip interiors/glass/everything electrical? All the extra weight only hurts on the track, so lets give everyone shit who fully doesn't strip their cars.

It's funny how ignorant the "performance crowd" can be.

Also, lets not forget that anytime you modify the engine to gain extra power, you are also most likely losing reliability. Just wondering why i don't see people going into the forced induction threads or the high compression NA builds and whining about how the owner is hurting reliability...

At least the car gets driven. Even if stanced cars weren't my liking i would appreciatte the car more than the people who own garage queens that don't get driven.

Anyways, for the style trying to be achieved car looks fantastic. Always nice to see a nice looking build whether it be for show/track or street.
The fact is-it looks like shit in person. I've seen it in person--fenders dented/focked up.
As far as 'driven', I doubt he can actually drive this car.
thanks dave, ill be sure to say hello at the next s2ki meet so you can say that in person. OHH and btw what part of Daily Driver dont you understand. I live in oviedo and drive to ocoee for work everyday...car has 141K on odometer Ive owned it for 2 1/2 years and i bout it with 97K.....so yeah.
When was the last time you were at a meet? Just had a huge one this past weekend near Oviedo.
It's your car-you can do whatever you want to do to it-but be prepared to take criticism.

The unfortunate truth is that market value for the S2000 is higher than the black book value and you would be VERY hard pressed to find a proper S2000 with decent mileage for 7000.00 USD or less. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

S2000's may be "mass produced" in your mind but with only 112,xxx produced all over the world during the course of their nine year production run, that is actually very limited quantities. It is also the sole reason the S2000 turns so many heads...people just don't see one every day.

As far as setting up the car to "look good": There is one thing that is true about any car built for show or styling; looks are purely subjective. If you are building it to satisfy your own desires and look, then of course it's your money and you are free to do with it what you wish. That being said, one shouldn't expect or even ask people for their opinions of their car on a public forum without realizing there will always be people who find the "styling" offensive.

I don't think it's ignorance. It's the simple fact of people loving this car so much and how wonderfully functional it is out of the box that it just seems silly to throw money to make something worse. Not many people would buy $2000.00 USD big screen LCD TV and then hit the screen with the hammer just because the effect of liquid crystals shattering makes it look cooler when the TV is on or off. That would just be silly. But in essence, that is what is happening with the S and the hella-flush fad.

The bottom line is that looks are and will always be subjective, but numbers and statistics don't lie. Like I said, I wouldn't call it ignorance. Sure, people of the opposite view could be a little more polite in expressing their dislike, but I understand the frustration...especially over a fad.

Also, lets not forget that anytime you modify the engine to gain extra power, you are also most likely losing reliability. Just wondering why i don't see people going into the forced induction threads or the high compression NA builds and whining about how the owner is hurting reliability...
