Default DIY Full length Bride mats

Still new to the forum, i like doing diy stuff with my cars and thought i'd whip up some bride mats. If it inspires anyone else to do it then great, its not too difficult

I used some recycled insulation material (grey stuff with coloured strands in it...), trimmed to the right size and attached a felt backing using spray glue. Did the same on the other size instead using the bride material and trimmed off the excess

You should be left with this:

Then sew on the binding with a decent sewing machine and your done, the heal pad is actually a section of red/black door mat!

Total cost, $60

Superb job. I'd consider selling these for some extra cash if you have the time.

Is that fabric strong enough for everyday use? How about the heel area?

Its not genuine bride stuff, the fabric is available via aliexpress...

Its not a car i use daily so only time will tell, the heel pad ive used is plenty strong enough

Ive waterproofed the fabric by rubbing a candle over the material and heating it up with a hair dryer... its an old trick but it works and is completely invisable
