I've always wanted a screen there, but it serves no purpose to me since I'm always driving when I'm in the car. Good work

I am too but I bought it mainly for the wife when we go out on long drives/trips or anywhere really.

What do you mean bare? Thats the normal install with this. I am custom fabing my OEM center piece later today or tomorrow but this is actually better than an OEM deck or aftermarket one piece only because the opening is closed unlike OEM or normal CD players where its open 24/7. So its better to have it closed like this. Less likely to get dirt/dust or condensation in this unit.
