Drifting my S2000 at Streets of Willow

Edit #2:
Ok...since the response to this thread has been SO positive...here's ONE more video. Former Skip Barber instructors, Billy Johnson and Jeff Tyler, took out my S2000 and my buddy's S2000, and did some tandom drifting at CA Speedway (now Auto Club Speedway). If you don't recognize their names, just type them into Google and you'll see their credentials. Sick skills I tell ya...

Nice man... gosh the s2k snaps so hard but you kept it all under control... i need to get my ass to the track.
Fact is, I've never experienced a RWD vehice before my S2000. My first car in high-school was a FWD Accord. Seen then, I've driven a Supercharged Civic on the track, and first took my formal lesson on a FWD race-prepped Celica at Willow Springs. A FWD is a completely different beast than a RWD car. It's like comparing a house cat to a wild tiger. It's no shock that so many high-end RWD sports car owners have crashed their car under normal driving conditions.
Car rotation in a RWD is quite normal, and it is much harder to control than in a FWD. When a car accerates, weight shifts to the rear of the car, and a RWD can take advantage of the power put to the rear wheels to power out of a corner. Too much power, and the car can rotate beyond control, and spin or worse.
Given the proper experience and training, you'll find out why the S2000 is the most perfect out-of-the-box sport car for under $40k.
My advice is to do plenty of track days (and/or drift classes) to fully understand the principle of weight transfer and to appreciate the dynamics of a RWD car. Get instruction (which is relativatly cheap at HPDE events) and key is seat-time, seat-time, seat-time!!!

We only say it's retarded when it's done on the street.

Ok fine...OFF THE RECORD...there was this round-a-bout near my old apartment that I used to practice my 1st gear drifts on...
