Sorry, I know nothing about dynos, what do you mean mustang dyno? I know you are talking about the car, but are you saying the dyno is only good for Mustangs? I didn't know they were car specific? There were like 8 Mustangs parked across the street though.

 

there are different types of dynos.... to name a few....
1. Mustang
2. dyno jet
2. dyno pack

There was no noticeable difference between stock or CAI or exhaust. Seeing all the S2000's being dynoed, I've very positive that the only way to get any performance increase would be either sc, nitrous, or gears.

The purchase of a CAI or exhaust will only get you a different look and different sound. If you are buying anything thinking you will get a horsepower increase, you may be disappointed. IMHO of course. We had enough variety of S2Ks there to convince me that there are no hp gains to be made.

There may be small amounts of torque gains with aftermarket CAI or exhaust, but no hp.

 

I am assuming you are saying this because you did not perform a base dyno run.... I think you should have seen at least a 5 - 10 HP gains.....

 

You are correct, we did have a stock S2K in the group, who made better numbers than some with aftermarket parts. If you look at the chart above, you will see that all the cars were very even. The top line is hp and the bottom number is torque. Most had three runs. The far left side of the chart shows the car and mods done.

Keep in mind it was over 85 degrees in the garage, with very little air flow do really see what a CAI can do.
