clean job on it, good work on his part. But just seems pointless in my mind. why do that to an s2000? do it to a little civic or something, and i think i read it only has a 45 mile distance before needing recharge??? cant even go for a nice drive or you wont make it back.

Maybe the guy doesn't want to drive a rusted out civic to work. He is driving to work, not going to the track. When gas hits 10 a gallon, what would you rather have?
They could make this more powerfull than the the car is now, the trick is having batteries that would last to get you home fast without having to charge. I love my gas guzzling cars but it's only a matter of time...

What's with all the hate? yeah, it's not as fast or fun, but you gotta give the guy mad props. This is awesome! I would never do this to my s2k, I'd just get a motorcycle or something if I wanted better mpg, but I still think this is awesome, imagine all the work he put into this.

I also don't get why everyone hates on hybrid engines so much, yeah it's not as powerful and whatnot, but it is a step in the right direction, gas isn't getting much cheaper, and we're gonna run out eventually. Sooner or later the electric engines will become stronger and gas stations will start getting replaced by recharge stations, just think about that for a minute. I for one welcome the change to electric power, we can't keep using gasoline forever...

also, I love my gas guzzling S2000, and wouldn't trade it for anything, I'm just saying electric power is the future.

 

Thinmint's build is far more impressive IMO and with plenty of pics and insights from a really bright guy
