Fathers and Sons photo thread
I like this topic.
My dad used to drag race in his younger days, and had to quit when he had me. When I turned 14 he bought a 91 Acura Integra LS which needed quite a bit of work. He started doing body work on it and cleaning the car up. He had me help him out and taught me a few things, before I knew it we were doing motor work to it. By the time I was 15 I knew how to pull a b-series motor out rebuild it from the ground up and reinstall it on my own. When I got my drivers permit we went for a ride in the ole DA and he let me drive it for the first time. It was a 5speed, I learned to drive 5speed on a different car, and he brought me to this old back road and said to "get on it." From then on, I've been hooked.
He and I built many many motors throughout the years and learned so much together while doing so. During my high school years I had gotten a part time job at 15 years old specifically to buy car parts. We had always gone 50/50 in the cars/ motors we built.
Now I'm old enough and can afford to do things on my own, he no longer helps me. I've also moved on to better things such as the s2k. He doesn't drive anything too fancy now a days since he's getting older and no longer has the desire for speed, but I do let him drive the S2k from time to time and now I'm the one telling him to "Get on it." 400+whp s2k puts a big grin on my old mans face every time.
And to end my ramble.. if it weren't for all the things I've learned while toying with cars from my father, I probably wouldn't be a service technician at the local Honda dealership.
Needless to say, my dad bringing me into the car scene and bringing me to drag races since before I knew what a car was, has made me what I am now and I'm thankful for it everyday.
I know this is the gallery, but I no longer have pictures of the projects we've shared through the year but felt my story would fit the thread.

Loving the story ^^^^ I want to cry for this one. It's so awesome, my dad has the ability to work on cars and fix /build engines etc but he never has a passion for speed or to have a sports car and go fast round corners. He just wants a stock, good running and medium priced sedan. Lol
