your pictures come out great. what lens do you use?
The first pic was taken with the D70 kit lens (18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor) at 62mm. That's equivalent to about 93mm for a 35mm camera, or a short telephoto. This is a great lens and the lens I use most often.
The second pic was taken with my so-so tele-zoom (70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED AF Zoom-Nikkor) at 130mm. That's equivalent to about 195mm for a 35mm camera, or a medium telephoto. I don't really like this lens, due to issues with sharpness. But it's over five times cheaper than the tele-zoom I really want, so it will have to do for now.
The last two pics were taken with my new wide-angle lens (12-24mm f/4G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor). Wide-angle lenses are good for playing with funky angles and perspective distortion.
I also used a circular polarizer on all the shots to help control reflections.
You could get similar (but not identical) results for the last three pictures with just the kit lens (and the polarizer), but I'm an equipment whore.
