i hate it when pics come blurred because its too dark

It is a Sony DSC-P72.
I wish we had the tripod that night. It was 70 degrees out, we were washing our cars, and just decided to snap some pictures at the last minute. This wasn't really planned.
But we did use a garbage can as a make-shift tripod
