To clarify, there are five elise models:

340R - which is considered by many to NOT be an elise, therefore it doesn't have Elise in it's name, but it is BASED on the elise platform

Elise - Your standard elise

Motorsport Elise - A specially designed GT hardtop version of the elise with modded engine meant for GT competition but which is road legal in any country except USA and Canada. Also sometimes referred to as the Elise Type72

Elise 111 - the "type R" elise

Elise LM - a one off vehicle that was testing the feasibility of entering an Elise in the LeMans 24 hours in the GT or GTS class. Currently in Lotus headquarters on display, or so I've heard

Ah, BUT at that display, it had Elise written all over it.. on various signs around it. I guess it's kind of how RSX's aren't considered Civics even though they are Civic based.

You are wrong. That is the Spoon S2000 race car imported specially from Japan. Notice the dual fuel fillers in the trunk, and the fact that the steering wheel is on the wrong side.

LV,

You forgot the Lotus Exige. My very favorite Lotus until the M250 comes along. Yummy.
