Originally posted by VTEC Racer I heard that Zaino isn't good for black cars and that it leaves some sort of grey film. Is this true?
i have had a few black cars with my TT easily being the worst in terms of delicate clear coat - the s2k is almost as bad. With the zaino the car looks IMO as good as its ever going to look considering that its driven on the street and is black. Black will always show scratches more easily - but Zaino makes it look amazing from 2 feet out...regardless - there is no grey film.

Thanks
I did Zaino on my 6 week old '03 Silverstone. You can check out my post in the wash and wax forum. It looks great, and the protection is supposed to be very good. Frankly I did not notice a drastic difference in apperance from that of the clean car. I did clay bar, but I only managed 2 coats of Z2. Planning to do more when I can.
I'm not knocking Zaino but for the life of me, I've never seen a jpeg in a thread called, "just Zaino'd my car" that made me think, "wow, you can tell that was Zaino'd." My dad bought $150 worth of Zaino products and was claying the XJR and GS400 earlier but I told him don't bother sending me a pic because all I ever end up thinking is "well, I guess it looks ok." I could detail my car with Mothers and take a pic and say it was photographed after a three-hour Zaino session and 95% of ya'll would say, "looking good!"
Just a random thought. The product IS great and your car is looking good but distance jpegs aren't telling me anything! Give me a close-up with a tree shining on your door panel!

OK Russ - let me know what you think. Keep in mind this is after a week of pollen etc. and driving to work and back on 95 in rush hour traffic today (road debris, dust, soot etc.)
Its not the classic tree in the door shot - but it shows off the slick shine pretty well i think...I didnt even wipe off the trunk.
