I was rummaging through some old snapshots today and came across a photograph of my very first new car: a 1979 Ford Mustang:



I purchased it on October 27, 1978 from Stevens Ford in Milford, Connecticut.

I thought it was quite the machine at the time especially since this was one of the "new generation" Mustangs which replaced the god-awful 1974 - 1978 model year Mustang IIs.

It had a 5.0 Liter (302 cubic inch) small block V8 good for 140bhp (!) and a 4-speed manual transmission.

By 100K miles it was seriously falling apart so I sold it.

i bought that car stock when i graduated high school 1.5 years ago, then i got tired of it and sold it and go my s2k, but i still miss the turbo and the extra seats....

 

Very nice Teg! My brother wants to tubro his teg this summer/fall. How much did it cost to set it up properly? Did you by a kit or just have it custom made?

And the yellow tag under the wiper had my name on it!
And he it is on day one of ownership.

 

2001 S2000

 

i custom made the kit and did the installation myself. some parts were new and some were used, but the total came out to a lil' under $2000.
