Regardless hey I guess it looks ok?
This thread cracks me up. Some of you people are so full of BS it's hilarious. Let me add a few comments.
1) To the people who said 19s don't fit:
uhm... yes they do? When you're buying custom wheels, you'd be suprised what you can get to fit. People run 285s on custom Work wheels, why wouldn't it be possible to run a 19? It's a taller wheels, so you run a shorter tire.
2) To the people who say you won't be able to "slam" it, and in the same sentence talk about 19s ruining the dynamics of the car:
You realize that slamming the car will do more to hurt the chassis dynamics than running a bigger wheel right? Get over your "JDM" craze. 95% of the parts you buy "overnight from Japan" are mediocre at best, and a lot of them hurt performance.
3) Wheel weight:
I've seen both sides of this argument already. While it is possible to buy a 19" wheel that weighs less than a stocker, it's virtually impossible to get the whole setup lighter once the tires are on. A 275 or 285 is a lot more rubber than a stock 245, and MUCH more than the narrower 225s some of you "JDM" guys think is cool now.
4) To the OP:
I still think you're going to run into fitment problems on the INSIDE of the wheel well due to tire height. The "30" in your tire size is roughly referenced to the percentage of your tire width. I.e., your tire is 30% as high as it is wide. I've got a 275/30 and it's about an inch taller tire than stock. You've got a 285/30 which will be even taller. As it stands now, when my suspension compresses fully (or close to it) in the back, I just rub on the inside of the wheel well. Be careful. Also, what is your front tire size, you're going to have to be even more careful up there with tire size.
5) Just for good measure.... I think it works:
