Friend of mine asked if I'd be interested in taking a day trip down to Road Atlanta to watch FD. I've always loved visiting tracks I raced on video games in the past and I haven't been to a track in years so I figured why not. This is the first drift event I've ever been to so I brought the camera to shoot some of the event. Really impressive to watch these guys drive and to see these cars up close.





Mad Mike's badass S2000






Forrest Wang and his S15 were really impressive. His drives against Mike were extremely entertaining. Easily the best runs of the day.




T Swift showed up


My other favorite car. This thing was really nice. So pristine compared to the somewhat haggard/destroyed cars in the rest of the field.




Another great bout between Tuerk and Forsberg


Tuerk's antilag sounded so angry. also...LOL at how insanely wide his front fenders are.

Ive been going to formula drift here in florida the past 7 years its literally amazing how much its grown... to walking up to the track my first year with hundreds of people in the crowd. too thousands, always a good time and atmposhpere. Glad i get too see MADMIKE this year especially since the s2000 wont be there.

 

So you're going to Orlando in a few weeks? I'm considering going.

 

I'll be there with a few other south florida people.

Wanted to make it but was out of town. These look great The Yellow S is local.. and is pretty crazy. the bumper and wing are new for that show IIRC
