can you change exposure time on only a few cameras? i was wondering if my camera has that option and if so, how to use it.

Sony T1

thanx!
the T1 is the really thin one? i don't think you can manually change exposure time on it, other than using the preprogrammed scene modes. on your selector dial, unless you see an "M" (for manual mode) or an "S" (for shutter priority mode) selection, you won't be able to manually set your exposure time (if you see an M or S, you'll probably see an "A" as well, for aperture priority mode). that said, i think the T1 has fireworks and twilight scene modes, which might work for night shooting, as long as there is light out.

Did you use a remote or a shutter release to control the exposure? Ive been meaning to get a shutter release so I can mess with bulb exposures but ive been lazy to go buy one.

how did you keep it so steady? I don't believe I could have done the same.

Love now the stars' positions changed in those 4.5 minutes
