Default Glass rear window for 2002 S2K

Honda joins the glass rear window club, but unfortunately, the glass is half the size.

Finally a pic of the rear glass window. Man, that sure is small.

Is that smaller than our current plastic window?

Definitely. I looks to be about half the size so that it folds where our plastic one folds in half. That way they did not have to redesign anything else in the top or the well.

I was thinking about the small size of the glass window as well, but I think it will work out alright. If you sit in the car with the top up and look through the rear-view mirror, you'll notice that only the upper half of the rear window is visible. The lower half of the plastic window is not used when viewing through the mirror. You will only notice the difference when you turn your head and actually try to look out the rear window (e.g., while backing up). So mostly while driving (forward), the small size should not matter at all.

I like it also. The new blue needs to be a darker blue--like the 2001 tl type-S. The interior trim w/ chrome accents on the door handle and tweeters is nice. I wish now I had waited till this year to buy a 2002

I wonder if the rear window will be able to be replaced instead of having the plastic window? We should all send a list to Honda to get ours replaced--it took two days though to have my plastic window replaced. I see they copied Rick's console cover---What do you all think??

I think some *FREE* retrofitted parts from Honda are in order . . . (they monitor this board, right? ). I like the idea of having a factory center console and dead pedal, but I can live without the chrome trim, updated wind deflector, and tweeters (I woulda put them next to the door handles, after the door lock, but hey, whatever floats your boat ).
