nice and smart...but why not the honda fit, i hear it's quite a handler.
wasn't looking for a car that could handle, just something with a good ride, and cheap for daily use. The fit is to ruff, the yaris is a bit more comfortable.

thank everyone for comments.

Alek the little bastard is doing good so far. It's actually a pretty kool little car, and I don't miss the S at all. well not yet anyways.

Wouldn't you have saved more money by buying a used car that won't take a 35% depreciation hit in the time you plan on owning it? If you found the right Civic you prolly could have sold it in 2 years for the same price you paid.

if you are going to go with an econo box, you should have purchased something used and a lot cheaper. No payments are a lot better then low payments.

First question.

Are you graduating from high school or college? Not being rude since some kids have this car in high school and college.

I think you made a good choice. You have to do what you have to do. I wish I had your gas mileage in my MDX.

Hows the ride in the car? Hows the leg room?

I wanted to stay away from used cars. Didn' want the headacke of having to worry about fixing something that would break down. I just wanted the reliability of a brand new car. Plus I know I won't be spending money modding this car up for power. Any civic and I may have done a swap knowing me

Graduating college. although your right I have seen high school students driving s2k also.

Car rides very nice. Completely different then the S. Takes the bumps in the road very well, and even though it doesn't have much power it has a nice pull to it. Noise is kept at a good level at highway speeds, and the factory stereo comes with mp3/and wma compatibility. Leg room is much improved for me considering I'm 6'4 200lbs. It was a bit cramped in the S . I also love the fact that t's a two door, but still a four seater with plenty of room in the back.

I actually just found out that the compression ratio on this little motor is 10.5!!!

Good for you, nice car.

I recently went through kind of the same thing.

When we found out my wife was pregnant, and with a home purchase coming up, I made the tough decision to sell my '02 silverstone.

I went the older, cheaper, much more less reliable, & boxier way and got an '87 325is. I guess I'm ok now, but looking through the gallery here, makes me really miss the S2000.

Well, you gotta do what you gotta do right? Look on the bright side, maybe your next car will be the NSX-successor after you graudate and get a decent job

Glad to see you listen to logic and practicality!
Sad to S your S goes, but like you know and we've all said, your ride later will be 10x nicer than the S!

I too just sold my S to finish up college.
