Goodwood is definitely one of the best motor racing / car experiences ever!! I've been to the Festival of Speed twice, but never the Revival. The Revival looks like fun though!
At Goodwood, I've chatted with Richard Burns, stood next to Alan McNish as he talked about racing the Audi R8 at Le Mans, saw Nick Mason's McLaren F1 run in anger, drooled over a Ferrari 250 GTO and stood gobsmacked as the owner opened up the hood, then had the hood hit my hand as he was closing it while I was taking a picture of the V12, heard the bark of a Cosworth DFV in the back of a '60s F1 car as the techs warmed it up, saw a Porsche 993 GT2 with a Nurburgring sticker on the back, marvelled at the sight of the Thrust SSC, spotted a Ferrari 355 Challenge race car converted to road use in the car park, saw how a Porsche 996 GT3 attracts zero attention when parked next to a Carrera GT, two Enzos and a Pagani...just awesome. Totally awesome experience. A must for any serious petrolhead.
