Really the cage is not sanctioned by SCCA. You can not use the cage in any of their races. It's a neat looking cage, but I want something I can use. The Elda Engineering roll bar is SCCA legal and is what I will probably go with. Many die hards say the cage is safe blah blah blah and that it's legal in all Japanese racing organizations but that's pointless because I drive my car in the U.S. Either way, for some more sweet parts.

I was told Cusco cages are just cosmetic and not as functional with their cages. Is that true?

i hear this also, but the only reason i believe the cusco cages are not track legal here is because they were designed for right hand drive cars...Someone posted that comment before, and it made a lot of sense...

I thought this was true as well until I took a look at different pictures of the cage installed. The left and right halves look the same. What makes it a design for rhd?
I like the cage and waht to know why so many people hate on it. From my understanding SCCA requres a certain thickness that the cusco does not have.
