Still love the Gti!!!

never really was a VW fan.......but i do like Audi

 

nothing's wrong with vw's! i've had a MK2 and MK3 gti before and they were fun to drive! (well, can't quite compare w/ s2k but it's different kind of fun )

 

why put this on a s2000 site? lol

i was actually thinkin bout gettin a gti before, i really like the looks of the ones before the newest one. newest one looks pretty nice too.

 

I like my buddy's GTI because its fast as ####, but aside from that i'm not much of a VW fan. The old school rabbits look badass though with the 4 headlights and the cool grille.

 

I owned a 337 GTI before my S2000, and I also owned a Corrado G60.... but these days i'm totally into Roadsters... After driving my cousin's Elan.. i was hooked... i immediatly bought a Miata...

I wuz thinking of getting a Boxster.. but decided to get the GTI instead to save a little money... i liked the GTI.. but man did i regret that decision... so when I moved to Korea, i was thinking of either tuning a older GTI or Jetta, or getting another roadster.... Wouldn't mind having both though

 

Ive been into the vdub scene for quite sometime. I had a 65 bug, 20th AE GTi, and an mk2 project car.

I enjoyed the bug because its so easy to learn about engines and work on, that aircooled flat four is as simple as first grade...... and I miss my 20th AE for the down low torque of the 1.8t!



Still though, the s2000.... to me anyways, is driving nirvana.


BTW: Mk5 looks like a minivan that got shrunk down to hatchback size, looks like total shit.

 

The GTi looks like a small two door minivan. Nice drive, but too damned ugly to take out in public. Beer goggles can fix it though.
