GT Motoring / Challenge S2000 Time Attack Car - 2011 Spec Testing
Well we finally got the S2000 back on track this past weekend. We fabricated a full custom cromoly cage in it for 2011 as well as a number of other chassis reinforcements
As always things take longer than planned. Our paint shop got the car back to us last Monday night as a rolling shell with a cage in it and we turned it into a running track car by Friday night to leave for the track event we sponsor annually ( www.WMHM.org ) My good friends all chipped in to make it happen. Just wanted to share a few quick photos and a video from the track. This is the first time the car has moved under its own power in over a year. its been equally as long since i had driven it. Since everything was still freshly installed and not alot of extra time was available for testing or dyno runs, I drove at about 85-90% all weekend and shifting at 8000-8200 range to keep things safe. Overall, the car feels great and was super sticky in the corners with our Challenge Comp + coilovers and Bridgestone RE-11 tires. I probably did about 7 sessions on Sunday giving S2000 owners rides around the track. It was a fun weekend with over 27 s2000s signed up for track duty. Enjoy the pics!
A full shoot and more details to follow later

It's made so we can do it easily later if we need Duke. Some of the time attack events we run dont allow the bars to go through the fire wall to towers etc. We have some bracing added in the fenders though at least
