I think Nissan ran out of money while making the GTR. I think they spent it all on research/technology so they had to let the engineers do the designing as well.
As far as the Subaru is concerned the designers got drunk and mixed up the brief of the sti with that of a new hatch that Subaru was planning on launching.

I don't like how the GTR's white is more ivory and pearl-ish colour than pure white ...

The GTR is the only car in the world, when placed next to any car, will instantly make the other car look better. That is the beauty of the GTR.

sti looks like a racoon.
the front grill area of the evo and gtr are very similar
