Speechless.... Just speechless...

I am so thankful that you and yours are okay. Lighting is scary stuff. Glad everyone made it out okay.

Sorry to hear about the ride, though...

Very sorry to hear such news and see such devastation, but you and your family are safe, and that is the most important thing. That said, get yourself a "pit bull" lawyer to deal with your insurance company and save yourself a lot of stress and heartache. Good Luck!

Best wishes on getting your life back together again as soon as possible. As other have said... at least everyone is safe.

I've never heard of anything like that before (lightning traveling up a sprinkler system and starting a fire). Quite a happening just to have lightning in your front yard. What state do you live in?
Sprinklers were on timers so I guess the strike traveled right along the electrical line from the sprinkler valve heads to the timer.............ouch..................

That's exactly what the fire inspector said. The timer caught fire which was mounted on the inside wall of the garage.

I live in the Upstate of South Carolina.

The took the cars away today. They looked pitiful on the flatbed.

Harsh. Like others have said though, at least you are okay. The car, well, that's what insurance is for.
