Default How did you spend spring break?

I was at Gingerman raceway with my new toy.

I had my S at Gingerman once, and it was my first track event so it's really difficult for me to describe the differences between these two cars. (Well, the fine details at least.) The accelleration of the Z06 is, of course, incredible. It REALLY pulls you out of the corner, and I can be VERY VERY lazy about shifting. Low-end torque is really kind of a neat gadget.

I was having some brake trouble. I think I got too aggressive and tried to brake too late and I am pretty sure I boiled the fluid. I will have stainless lines and racing fluid for next time, and might even have track pads. (Probably not the pads just yet though.)

There is a company that drags in a trailer to the event. It's a two-person crew. In the morning they both go out and take TONS of pictures with their digital SLRs, then upload the pictures to a server in the trailer. Then in the afternoon, one person works the trailer allowing people to come in and look at one of 3 iBook Macs to see the pix while the other keeps taking more photos. You can purchase individual prints, or a CD with EVERY picture they took of your car. I recieved 95 pictures of the event, and I sat out one of my sessions.

How fun!! My buddy has a ZO6 and it is not comparable to an s2000 at all, acceleration is great, lots of torque, power, and terrific handling as well. Can't go wrong with one of those!

Corvette - hhrrmmmm, small ... penis?

Looks like fun - I'd sure like to flog a Vette around a twisty track.

Looks like fun. I'm sure the vette tears up that track

One thing other positive note about not shifting in the vette is that you dont have to feel the gear box
