Huge update on my Rio
It's been awhile since I've made a thread so I thought I'd show some little changes I did to my 06 during the winter months....
January brought taking the calipers off and doing a nice spray job on them because all 4 were different colors. New OEM rotors and Hawk HPS pads were slapped on as well as the the Eibach springs that had sat in my closet for months. I also switched to DOT 4 brake fluid.

Just the standard 1 inch drop on the Eibachs. Nice drop in my opinion, and rides great

It was nice getting to enjoy the new garage my parents had built at their house working on the car with close friends even though it was 20 something degrees outside.
Added Spoon rad cap and J's strut bar.

Then after much dicking around I finally ordered the wheels I promised my self I would buy once I got my S

17x7.5 up front 17x9 in the rear
People say they're played out blah blah... I think it's a great wheel, great price and fits the S perfect. I decided I wanted something a little different so I sent the wheels to the powdercoater and said sort of a "gunmetal with semi gloss". I asked the guy if he knew what an ITR wheel looked like and he said "yes". I told him I wanted it like that. They told me two weeks and they'd be done........that was four weeks ago
So me and my tires are patiently waiting for them to be done.
General exclaim UHP. They got a great rating on tirerack and were decently priced.

245/40ZR-17 rear and 215/45ZR-17 front
February ...........

Luckily I didn't have to drive the S much ( and yes I cleaned the snow off the top quickly)
Decided I didn't like the way the kevlar wing apeared green, so I painted it myself. As much as Rio is a pain in the ass to match, it came out perfect.

The end of Feb brought HKS hi power exhuast and a Mugen replica intake.

Even though my wheels weren't done in time, I buffed the car and decided to go enjoy a local show ( yes in February
) with my friends.

Hopefully my wheels will be done soon.
