He's exporting pre-owned S2000's into Taiwan. They bring big bucks. I sold a new 2009 GPW CR to a Taiwanese importer. Paid nearly sticker new, but he already had it sold to someone for almost $60K USD after customs fees and duties. It seemed ridiculous at first but you can't get CR or anything close to it outside the US.

If it's pre-owned I think they get a customs duty break so it's not as bad.

A gray market S2000 is probably cheaper than the S2000's in their own country (if there is any)

I think, quick calculations seems Australia and Taiwan generally similar priced for an S2000 at least based upon MY06, probably Taiwan bit more expensive.

Really? Wow, one of seven (I think?) and it went to Taiwan. Interesting, well I really hope they are all still stock and stored in sealed time capsules

Translation of Taiwan prices to USD (32NT = 1USD)

2004 $33,750 USD

2005 $36,875 USD

2006 $40,000 USD

2007 $43,125 USD

2008+ CR $61,875 USD

His 2004 yellow sold for $36,875 because it had 14Kmiles

crazy prices.. sounds like a business I need to get into.
