I know this has been posted before during the car's build up and soon after completing the project, but now I've found it on ebay for $8000!

I always thought that Miata's were much lighter than the S...but it's only 109lbs lighter.

The original Miata (1990 in the U.S.) has a curb weight of around 2200lbs. The car is roughly 600lbs lighter than the S2000. Miatas got progressively heavier every year after the original. Your 109lbs seems like the weight difference between the current Miata and the S2000.
