The same site, www.magneticflames.com, has stick-on hood louvers, fender vents, and brake ducts. They're pretty hideous, devoid of the nostalgic mirth that makes the flames fun. I didn't see wood paneling, but given the product's popularity with PT Cruiser drivers, I wouldn't be surprised to see it appear soon.
What would really crack me up is some chintzy blisters-and-hernias plastic paneling, a la Pontiac. Oh wait, I forgot. Veilside already makes it.

DSP: You Rock! I think it's great. Keep in mind the same guys talkin' trash to you are probably going to get in their other cars, the Caddy Escalade which should just have "compensating" on the license plates. Be yourself 'cause it should obviously be what you're best at.
And btw: I'm not a flamer but I do have a rainbow license plate frame. eek: OOOHH, the sacriledge! I also grew up in Montana driving a Chevy with a 454 and gun rack, ride horses, hunt, fish, and go clubbing like a motherf**er. I can drive the shit out of my S2000 and any other car put in front of me regardless of who I cuddle up with at night.

Derek,
You got us! And it is funny. The town where I grew up, in Eastern NC, would have lots of folks with jacked up, dukes of hazzard modded chevelles, novas, etc parked out on a certain street on Fri and Sat nights, where they'd drink beer and cruise. My friends and I were always planning to take my dad's 280 sel (with the 4.5 liter engine- that was a GREAT car)and park it out on the strip and bring a tablecloth and candellabra for fun, but never did. And, I always wanted to put a pink flamingo in the yard of my "vanilla" respectable split level house that I owned in grad school, but never got around to it(plus, I was a little afraid that the neighbors wouldn't see the irony!)
Anyway, seems like you pulled off what I could not.

How many S2000 drivers are 16 (just wondering, 'cause i'm 16 too)?

Actually, I probably wouldn't be writing this now...
Congrats to all you 16-year-olds who get to drive this fine vehicle! I'm sure you enjoy it! Drive well!
I know it is Derek's car. I saw it in the group lunch last time.
I think it is okay to say you don't like the flames. But it is NOT right to bash the owner and make all sort of irresponsible comments. Be a man, now is the apology time...

thx to everyone who's been defending me on the posts.
anyway, the flames are contagious...... After seeing the flames on my car, both my roommate and a coworker have bought some for themselves.
roommate: Yellow Nissan Xterra
coworker: Green Toyota Prius
Next up, my boss. As a gag we put them on his Honda Odyssey. We'll see if he purchases.
I'll put some pix up on the board for fun.
