No matter how hard I try cats simply have a mind of their own.

I know the picture quality isn't the greatest, but I think you can clearly make out two cats that need be reminded that sitting on my S2K isn't a good idea.

You gotta get a alarm to let out a blair when they walk on the surface. I seen them for couches. Im sure you could drape it over the top of the S.

Least its covered so their claws arent possibly scratching the car. Just hope they dont try to sharpen their claws on the top!

I've trained cats with a squirt gun (or spray bottle). They are pretty smart but you have to show them a few times what happens when they get on the car.

The cat on the hood looks big enough to dent it. At least the cover offers some protection.

Pinky:

Good idea with the alarm. I've heard of them also, but forgot all about them. Thanks.

cdelena:

I've used the squirt gun with other things, but with our cats they do whatever it is they're not supposed to do and then when they see the squirt gun they stop. It's a good thought though.

My biggest problem is trying not to scare them when they're on the car, otherwise they jump down onto the hood or starting running trying to dig their claws in.

Nick:

Um, yeah. Both cats are big enough to dent the hood if they jump down on it. Makes me very nervous.

Thanks for all the great comments.

Take care,
Andrew

Our cats do this too! I just don't understand why they like to sit on the soft top. I placed an extra sheet over my car cover because of the cats! Hopefully my car cover will still remain nice looking.

Kinda funny.... I'd worry about the cat laying on the roof... it might stretch the top over time. Otherwise, keep the cover on and you should be fine.

My two favorite cat deterants

My 110lb American Bulldog and my pellet gun!

Sorry....just had to say that. I am actually an animal lover, but I have had more than my share of bad experiences with cats and my cars including a split forhead(dont ask!) and a BIG, bloody mess in my SUV engine compartment when I turned it on one cold morning....
