what if the sword was a machined replica of a hand-made sword and precisely cut using lasers to give an extremely sharp edge. I think that sword would definately be better than you handmade JDM carp. USDM BABY!! WOOHOO!

It can be made hollow to be lighter and far sharper. So my machined ultra mega mega sword > your eating utensil

There is that aspect to it as well. That is the heat welding process, also called "billeting." My knowledge of forging comes from making knives and watching a sword being made, so I admit I am not the worlds foremost expert on swordmaking.
