I don't think that is really bad for the paint.., it's an extra layer of clear coat.

wow we got hit by that front in Indiana too but nothing like that. I hear parts of KY wont get power or gas for a few weeks? I'm assuming since you posted pics up your area is fine. Glad to hear you made it through the storm ok.
